REFERENCES 2013!

I just came back from a Trip in S.A to Colombia in September this year. Again I got to meet many nice students that were really happy with the lessons and from whom I learnt so much!

Some of the references from them:

With Joaquim, having class in
his apartment in Northern Bogotá

When i arrived in Colombia i harldy spoke any spanish. I got in contact with Angelica and have been having 3-4 classes per week for 3 months now. I can now communicate with people and i have improved a lot, more than i actually expected. Angelica uses educational methods and funny ways of studying. If you put the effort in, you will rapidly learn how to write, read and speak!

Angelica is an absolutely fantastic tutor. I've had several private tutors in the past, and she was one of the best. She is super organized and had a specific lesson prepared each class which was very engaging. Normally I can only take 1 hour of one on one instruction, but with her, 2 hours was a breeze. Highly recommended!

Luke, after having his final test

I studied with Angelica for two weeks while I was staying in Bogota. She came to me and made the class convenient and comfortable for me. Angelica was an amazing teacher. She took a lot of time to individualize my lessons with her and I can tell, because each lesson would be responsive of the previous. For me on such a short stay and impromptu visit, private lessons were the way to go and I can’t think of a better person to study with than her!

I studied for three hours a day with Angélica over a two week period in September 2013 in Bogotá - and my Spanish improved considerably. Angélica tailored the classes to my needs and interests and arranged a range of different activities, so each class was different and never boring. She provided helpful and clear explanations and we engaged in many interesting and lively conversations. I appreciated that she came to my apartment to conduct the classes, so it was very convenient! I highly recommend Angélica - she's trustworthy, professional and good fun. Cheers,

References 2011 - 2012

I would like to give those who are looking for a spanish teacher in Colombia a recommendation. I´ve had classes everyday 4 hours with angelica from Bogota. She knows her grammar really well and she gives you lots of material. I like her because she makes you speak, not like those teachers who just babble on and on and do not help you practice. She is really sweet but very strict at the same time and will go all the way to your location for a very reasonable price. If you need contacts of spanish teachers in Buenos Aires, Bariloche and Santa Marta, let me know I´ve found really nice teachers here as well.

Angélica is a very nice persons with a lot of experience in teaching Spanish to foreigners. Classes with her are very pleasant. There might be other teachers and I had to attend some other lessons due to absence of Angélica, but Angélica was the best. Thanks to the lessons and the nice people in Colombia, I made good progress in Spanish during my stay in Bogotá!

Hi,
this is to recommend an excellent Spanish teacher in Bogota.
Her name is Angelica and I found her to be very supportive, highly professional and attentive to my personal needs where I was showing a weakness in my learning of the language.
Thanks Angelica for your invaluable assistance.

Hi Im Joo. I was travelling to South America in Jan- Jun 2012. Before start the journey I was thinking that I should be able to speak Spanish for travelling arround there.
So I found her through some website and asked her to teach me basic Spanish. She is very kind person and loves travelling as well, so she knows what kind of specific languange that important and not important to learn during travelling.
She teached me spanish for 2 weeks and that was efficient enough for me to communicate with South Americans during my trip. Thanks to her :)
Surely we're still able to travel around the world without knowing local languange, but I think if we know some local languange, we will find more good experience and opportunity to know good people.
Now I'm back to Korea and only remember little Spanish, but I'm glad to meet and learn spanish from her.

I truly recommend her if you want to learn Spanish for travelling.

I fully concur with Sheida. I read her recommendation and reached out to Angelica. I was tutored three times weekly for three hours a day in Bogota. I am able to comprehend and speak more than I ever have previously.

Her lessons were structured. Just as I was reaching my learning capacity on a specific subject she was able to effectively switch to another topic.

I really appreciated how the three hours were so well organized and always on track. I have had Spanish instruction on and off for the last few years and Angelica was by far the most effective.

She has my highest recommendation.

After taking levels 3 and 4 at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, I was ready to step up my conversational Spanish so I decided to hire a private tutor. Luckily, I found Angelica who was dedicated and driven to teach me exactly what I needed to become fluent. I really enjoyed the custom activities and projects we worked on, especially those related to Colombian culture. Muy recomendado!

¿CÓMO SON LAS CLASES? / HOW ARE THE CLASSES?

2. ¿Cuántos estudiantes hay por clase?

- Sólo dicto clases 1 a 1.

* Nivel A1
* Nivel A2
* Nivel B1
* Nivel B2
* Nivel C1
* Nivel C2

Cursos especiales:

* Español para viajeros
* Español de Negocios

Here are the answers to the questions that students usually have before starting.

1. Who is the teacher?

- I am Spanish teacher certified by National University. I have a degree in Finance and International Commerce and this is why I also give " Spanish for Business" lessons. I have been giving lessons since 2011 particulary developing a project that is called "Teaching spanish with no conventional methods".

I have traveled many countries and I have given Spanish classes outside of Colombia and also via online.

2. How many students per class?

- I only give one-to-one lessons. This is because every person is different and you can learn faster when I analise the needs of each student and make the proper material for them. It is also because it is very difficult for foreigners who work or travel in Colombia to adjust themselves to a school schedule. For group lessons, there are many schools in Bogotá offering spanish courses.

3. What courses are available?

- I have many options depending on the interest of the student. I offer the courses per level  (according to the European Reference) and special courses.

Courses per Level:

* Level A1
* Level A2
* Level B1
* Level B2
* Level C1
* Level C2

Special courses:

* Spanish for travelers
* Spanish for Business

4. How is the course schedule?

- The schedule depends on the student´s needs and my availability at the time you come. Please write to me in advance to arrange a place and time convenient for both of us.

5. Where do classes take place?

- The classes take place at the student´s home or in any public place (cafe or library) that is convinient for both the student and the teacher.

6. What is the payment method?

- Usually payments are made after every class, although some students prefer to pay one week in advance.

7. Besides the price per session do I have to buy any material or text book?

- All the material that is used in the lesson is included in the price. I have created special material for my classes and also for the first levels I use the "Prisma Latinoamericano" textbook. The price also includes solving questions via e-mail at any time.
